EmCare at Maritime Place

Challenge

Assist a healthcare firm, whose physician services teams affect a patient’s life every 81 seconds, triage its four Pensacola locations into one office building.

Solution

Design a contemporary environment in a new downtown Pensacola office building to maximize the owner’s vision of streamlining workflow and creating intra-departmental efficiencies to fuel a collaborative culture. The 30,000 square foot space design centered around an open plan with a large lounge, group meeting and private spaces to achieve team and c-suite requirements, and provide access to natural light and adjacent hub and spoke activities.

Result

Significant cultural and work process shifts helped to mold this start-up into a national firm. In addition, significant savings were achieved by reducing square footage costs and through redistribution of tangible assets, such as furniture, to other offices around the country.

Teresa, as a satisfied and happy customer, I wanted to compliment you on and thank you for a job well done. Your personal vision, resourceful knowledge, attention to detail, and service have been excellent and a joy to work with. The end result is an amazing and functional workspace for our employees and executives.

Studer Group at Maritime Place

Challenge

Collaborate with a national management consultant firm that specializes in implementing effective strategies and practical solutions to align leadership teams, attract, retain and promote talent, and improve organizational culture. In this case, the consolidation of all the organization’s associates and resources into one office location, instead of across multiple offices scattered around the city, complicated and complemented these goals.

Solution

Configure 27,000 square feet into a combination of collaborative and multi-use space, offices and executive suites. The new environment is a modern, holistic and democratic design solution that delivers equally shared natural light, fosters a sense of creativity and provides practicality via modular workstations, treadmill workstations, huddle and breakout rooms, floor-to-ceiling writable walls and totally integrated technology.

Result

While some heartburn was experienced moving from private offices to workstations, the alignment with the company’s culture and brand was wildly successful. The practical design elements, flex-space and “touchdown” spaces helped the organization hardwire excellence through greater collaboration and a significant increase in employee connections through internal contests, challenges and competition.

Teresa took the time to know us—who we are, how we work and why it matters. She listened well and then designed a workspace that brought our culture and values to life. We wanted a workspace that closely aligned to our culture. Teresa helped us achieve that by taking the time to know our people and our purpose.

Clark Partington

Challenge

Fueled by passion and driven to excellence, the members of this preeminent Gulf Coast regional law firm strives to be good people, not just good lawyers. These tenants have guided my design work for several of their office facilities in the last twenty years, including the newest office located in downtown Pensacola.

Solution

In collaboration with architect Spencer Maxwell Partington, the cornerstones of the project is a living wall and an abundance of natural light. The space is not only engulfed in green plant life to support an active business climate, but the relationships between the modern architectural finishes and functional workflow are artfully balanced to nurture teamwork and grow client connections.

Result

The actual cultivation of a Wellness Wall has increased oxygen, decreased illness and ultimately, achieved the environmentally-conscious goal to create a healthier work environment.

Cowork @nnex

Challenge

Refurbish one of downtown Pensacola’s oldest, historic commercial buildings—full of rubble and debris—into a fully functioning, mixed-use coworking space.

Solution

Convert a turn-of-the-century building space, overlooking Palafox Street, into an industrial loft space. Located on the second floor of the Brent building, in the heart of downtown Pensacola, the footprint was reconfigured to offer over 10,000 square feet of accelerated serendipity. This includes an open common/community area, training/event space, breakout and conference rooms, dedicated desks, private offices, kitchen, lockers and lounge areas—all designed to spark connections socially and professionally with people from different backgrounds and professions.

Result

The first space of its kind, it has become the premiere coworking space in Northwest Florida.

idgroup

Challenge

The transformation of a 100-year old building in the Seville Historic District—which once served as warehouse and garage to repair cars and trucks—into an inspirational workshop and place of business for the crew of a highly respected brand transformation company.

Solution

With flexibility and technology integration as core requirements, an open environment with modular workstations, and meeting and conference spaces drove the design plan. Set against exposed brick walls, wood plank flooring and ceiling, and massive structural wood beams the juxtapose of these workstations was on target and on brand for these consultants.

Result

More than doubling in size, the space has accommodated the firm’s collaborative work style and staff expansion with little stress or strife.

Teresa’s talents reach beyond design aesthetics. I like to describe her as a ‘interior design psychologist.’ She listened deeply, observed how we work and then translated the identity of the idgroup into a design plan that really reflects who we are and how we work. Anyone who walks into the idgroup office can feel it.
