ABOUT ME

I’m not your typical designer

Certified Interior Designer, entrepreneur, business woman, and founder of BluSalmon Design—I find the artful balance between form and function to transform untapped spaces into incredible places.

I work collaboratively with my clients to weave intricate storylines and experiences into an unparalleled sense of purpose that defines how we live each and every day in the places we live, work and play.

Taking inspiration from the everyday, I bring to life all the elements of style, color, and composition to help my clients propel their brand cultures, leverage human capacity for creativity, and help them uncover purposeful places of beauty and belonging that resonate with the head as much as the heart.

This is how I work. This is how I’ll work for you.

Create spaces people don’t want to leave

There is an incredible magic that well-designed spaces can have in shaping our lives. They are mirrors that reflect who we are and where we come from; where we work and how we work. They can affect our behaviors: improve mood, ignite creativity, and impact productivity.

A well-designed space has the power to transform an empty house into an inviting home, a cold office into a productive workplace, and an aging look into a fresh start. Great design improves our quality of life.

I work with clients to create practical, livable and enjoyable environments for home and headquarters. With more than 25 years designing in corporate environments, I’ve helped hundreds of clients design harmonious spaces.

Together, we’ll unleash the magic of your space.

The details are not the details. They make the design.

designed with Confidence

When you work with a NCIDQ-Certified interior designer, you’re designing with confidence.

Beyond delivering high quality aesthetic designs, having a credentialed and licensed interior designer on your project means you’re working with a highly-trained specialist who demonstrates the industry’s highest standard of proficiency in interior design principles. You can trust that your space meets—or in many cases, exceeds—the current standards established to protect public health, safety and welfare.

The difference is in the details. Board-Certified Interior Designers must:

  • Achieve a minimum of 6 years of specialized education and exhibit a mastery of aesthetics.

  • Must pass a rigorous and comprehensive examination that reflects the most current skills required to design secure, functional and innovative interior spaces.

  • Exhibit a proven and verified track record of success.

  • Demonstrate a specific set of core interior design competencies.

  • Apply creative and technical solutions within a structure that are functional, attractive and beneficial to the occupants’ quality of life and culture.

  • Create designs that respond to and coordinate with the physical environment.

  • Adhere to code and regulatory requirements.

  • Encourage the principles of environmental sustainability.

The essence of interior design will always be about people and how they live. It is about the realities of what makes for an attractive, civilized, meaningful environment, not about fashion or what’s in or what’s out. This is not an easy job.
